Bluegrass Bands Helping Hands Vol III - Big LeaguesBluegrass Bands Helping Hands has a new promo video with music by bluegrass music artist Valerie Smith and Songwriter/performer Becky Buller. The promo is a kick start fundraising request. The next volume in the Bluegrass Bands Helping Hands program is Volume III - Big Leagues and features these bluegrass artists: Earl Brackin, Mark "Brink" Brinkman, Greg Brooks, Becky Buller, The Dixie Bee-Liners, Jim & Valerie Gabehart, The Hillbenders, Jubal's Kin, Jean-Luc Leroux, The Lone Mountain Band, Milkdrive, Rich In Tradition, Special Consensus, Frank Solivan And Dirty Kitchen, Valerie Smith And Becky Buller, and Donna Ulisse.

There are over 1600 children with special needs in Dalton and Whitfield County Georgia. A project has already begun to build a special surfaced and equipped recreation facility to host baseball and similar recreational events but a tremendous amount of funding is required to see the park to completion. The park when completed would serve the residence of North Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Paul Byrum and Tom Brown plan to help the fund raising and public awareness effort by creating a Bluegrass Bands Helping Hands Volume III CD - Big Leagues.

Please click on the link to our project page at kickstarter. We've posted a video about our project and there is plenty of information about Kickstarter.com. For those of you unfamiliar with the kickstarter concept it is a new way to fund creative projects and is powered by a unique all-or-nothing funding method where projects must be fully-funded or no money changes hands.

The CD when completed will be sold with 100% of the proceeds going to support the Miracle League of Whitfield County Georgia. The Miracle League is a non-profit organization with a mission to build “The Miracle Field” in Whitfield County Georgia.

The Miracle Field is designed to provide children with special needs a place to play baseball. Construction on the field has slated to begin with the first pitch to be thrown in the Spring of 2012. So, The Miracle League and the kids are counting on us to help them meet their goals by finishing this CD.

The Big Leagues project is a compilation CD that will feature original music and traditional songs in a showcase of traditional bluegrass, contemporary, and beyond.

The money that we raise from this kickstarter campaign goes to pay for the cost of making the CD, the promotional video and the CD release expenses. Paul would like to re-emphasize that this "kickstarter" campaign goes ONLY towards the CD project and is not a charitable fundraiser.

Tom Brown and Paul Byrum have produced two successful Bluegrass Bands Helping Hands Volumes prior but, they felt a very special connection when it comes to helping build this park. We had so many bands interested in helping us...
